----- This page isn't on the main menu, it is a page assembled for someone in need of a shortlist of reading and ideas to get started. πŸ‘‹ More to come! Looking back, the things I think made a difference and are worth reading up on are: [Ketogenic diet](3.%20Treatments/3.4%20%20Food%20&%20Diet/Ketogenic%20diet.md) - I started this day 1, an easy way to get the body into starvation mode without too much work. I mean, keto is work for sure but easier than full fasting. [Fasting](3.%20Treatments/3.4%20%20Food%20&%20Diet/Fasting.md) - Lots of good research on its benefits, very low risks if done properly. It's hard mentally, but this whole thing is ;) Also on the fasting thing I really enjoyed [Fred Evrard](5.%20Resources/People/Fred%20Evrard.md)'s story; crazy what he did but again, he survived a really poor prognosis. ## Supplements The ones I think are an easy choice due to the (early) research behind them, their reasonable cost, and safety: [AHCC (shiitake mushroom)](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/AHCC%20(shiitake%20mushroom).md) [Alpha lipoic acid (ALA)](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/Alpha%20lipoic%20acid%20(ALA).md) [Berberine](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/Berberine.md) - good for apoptosis and blood glucose control [CBD](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/CBD.md) [Cannabis THC-CBD](3.%20Treatments/3.2%20Integrative%20therapies/Cannabis%20THC-CBD.md) [EGCG (green tea)](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/EGCG%20(green%20tea).md) - green tea, I drank lots every day as well as the EGCG extract [Melatonin](3.%20Treatments/3.3%20%20Supplements/Melatonin.md) - this one has a ton of good research. Obviously helps with sleep too which is nice! ## Off-label drugs This is an interesting area to read up on, not as straight forward as the supplements, and because of that some of the cancer docs might have issue with a few of them. But some real science behind a few of them. [Desloratadine (Aerius)](3.%20Treatments/3.5%20%20Off-label%20drugs/Desloratadine%20(Aerius).md) - this is the antihistamine I mentioned, early research but really interesting potential. Low risk, easy to get. [Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)](3.%20Treatments/3.5%20%20Off-label%20drugs/Low%20Dose%20Naltrexone%20(LDN).md) - I never used this one but was about to start just before I found out the tumor was gone. The video was pretty interesting. Again, common drug, low risk, but you do need a friendly doctor who will prescribe it. Speaking of doctors, [Dr. Jessica Moore](5.%20Resources/People/Dr.%20Jessica%20Moore.md) was the naturopathic doctor who really helped me sort through all the things I was considering. She also got me on [mistletoe](3.%20Treatments/3.2%20Integrative%20therapies/Mistletoe%20therapy.md) therapy. This is very commonly used in Europe. I think it helped with my energy during treatment, but not sure?
