Supplements are an area with hard science around them, and, plenty of dubious claims. Trying to qualify what's worth the effort and cost is difficult. And, as I've learned, there are only so many capsules and pills you can realistically take every day. But there are a few "no-brainers" that have solid scientific evidence supporting their anti-cancer benefits, and those should be strongly considered. I've put together a running list of supplements that are worth looking at, with links to more information and even suppliers in some cases. Mushrooms are a category of botanical supplements that seem to hold powerful benefits against cancer. There is plenty of historical anecdotal support for them, some of it dating back generations in countries like Japan and China. And now there's a fast growing library of clinical studies that are trying to catch up with the science behind how and why some of these mushrooms work to beat cancer. [Recent developments in mushrooms as anti-cancer therapeutics: a review - PMC](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3339609/) This section is a collection of various supplements I've come across in my reading, and some notes and references on them where they had applicability to my cancer (CRC). But many of them seem to have use across all cancer types.
